1) A scientist submits a research study to a journal or a study proposal to a funding agency.
2) The journal's editor or the program manager (PM) at the funding agency can request an expert opinion from independent peer reviewers.
3) The scientist usually can address the reviewers' feedback and make revisions, upon which the editor/PM decides whether to decline or accept the study for publication/funding.

PeerAI.org was started as a response to the Request for Information (RFI) Inviting Comments on the NIH Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy with the Notice Number: NOT-OD-25-117.
PeerAI.org is a framework for enhancing the integrity of biomedical research by an independent and user-sponsored organization.
PeerAI.org seeks to integrate AI strategically into the peer review process proactively improving precision, transparency, and reproducibility during research evaluation.
